Website: www.patrikjohansson.nu/ Anne: Yngwie has said he was amazed at your drumming skills when he first heard your demos. How would you describe your playing style? Patrik: Loud, hard-hitting, and a lot of double bass drumming. Anne: What is your approach to the songs on the tour playlist? Will you try to follow closely the recorded drum tracks, or develop your own interpretation? Patrik: I will play the songs with all my heart and bring some of my own personality to it. Anne: Are you and Mick Cervino working together well to establish the rhythm section of this new lineup? Patrik: Mick is really great; it's working perfectly. Anne: How have rehearsals been going so far? Do you feel that you are comfortable with the set list for the shows? Patrik: Rehearsals been going very well - we added some new songs and everything feels perfect!! Anne: Do you have any favorites in the set list, that you are really looking forward to playing for the fans? Patrik: "Far Beyond the Sun". Anne: Will you be doing a drum solo? If so, what is your plan of action? Patrik: It's gonna be LOUD, HARD, FAST, and HEAVY! Anne: Can you describe the drum setup (equipment) you will be playing on tour? Patrik: I play PREMIER DRUMS and PAISTE cymbals. I normally use Double 24" bass drums, 14" rack tom, 16" and 18" floor toms, and 14" (birch ) snare drum. I use 2 x 18" crash, 19" crash, 20" crash, double 18" china, and 13" and 14" hi-hats, and 20" ride. All cymbals are the Paiste 2002 series. Anne: Have you ever played in Mexico or South America previously? Patrik: First time for me in South America. Anne: Thanks so much for your time! Anything else you'd like to say to the fans?
