--Paulo Amaral: A poll was made here in Brazil during 3 weeks at my friend's CD shop regarding the Alchemy album. I gave a form to everyone who had purchased the album and asked them to deliver it in couple days. In the form was asked the best 3 songs and comments on the new album. Here is the result for the best songs: (Almost 300 people in Sao Paulo): (1) Wield My Sword, (2) Blitzkrieg, (3) Asylum Suite, (4) Playing with Fire - Leonardo (tied), (5) Deamon Dance, (6) Hangar 18, Area 51. Also, most of the people made an interesting comment on how they appreciated the "resurrection" of the name: Yngwie J. Malmsteen's Rising Force. From what I could see from the forms and from what I've heard, this album really "surprised" people 'cause of its power and roots. This is an album where ALL the songs are great. Nobody said something bad about any of the songs. For myself, I couldn't expect a better album, and it's surely the best one of the last several years. All in all, I think the result of the poll says it all, and the fans in Brazil are waiting for Yngwie to come back!

--Arthur: Pumped up with great anticipation of Yngwie's new Rising Force "Alchemy" album, I couldn't wait for a domestic release, so I bought the Japanese import at my local import music shop, and it was worth every penny. Yngwie made a great choice in getting Mark Boals on vocals, I think he has the best voice in heavy metal, unbelievable vibrato. I hope Yngwie keeps Mark Boals in this new Rising Force band; he is actually the reason why I bought the import. I liked his voice since "Trilogy," which in my opinion was the best album overall till this one. My younger brother is a huge Metallica, Iron Maiden, and King Diamond fan, and would never want to listen to any of Yngwie's songs. Well, that changed suddenly when he walked into my room last week. While the intro to "Leonardo" went on, not knowing who it was, he kept listening and was impressed with the dark ages Gregorian chant, which is the style he and his Goth/black metal band are into. He thought it was cool and actually listened to the album and read the lyrics, which impressed him the most. He was like, " I thought Yngwie could only solo." Now he got the rest of his band mates listening to the album; their favorite songs and lyrics were "Leonardo" , "Wield My Sword" , "Hanger18 Area 51", and "Legion of the Damned" and the intro to "Voodoo Nights". The guitarist in his band loved the solo in "Wield My Sword" and "Leonardo", especially when Yngwie harmonized parts of the solo. I liked "Hanger18 Area 51", it sounded similar to the Alcatrazz style. Well, I guess now Yngwie has spread his influence beyond shredders with this magnificent album. Personally, I think "Alchemy" is a rebirth for Yngwie, writing a new chapter in his life with the newly recharged Yngwie Malmsteen's Rising Force. My brother and his band mates are anticipating their first ever Yngwie concert. I hope Yngwie plans to tour New York.

--Oscar Sanchez, Jr: I just got my copy of the Japanese version of "Alchemy" and it rocks! It's everything I expected it to be and more! The packaging is also excellent. Every song rocks! Among my favorites, as you might guess, are Blitzkrieg, Leonardo, Asylum, and Quantum Leap. I especially like Quantum Leap because I am a theoretical physics major specializing in quantum mechanics. Yngwie and I have more interests in common than I thought! Anyway, I just love all the arpeggios found throughout the entire album. Yngwie really out-did himself with this album. I put it right up there with my favorites like Facing the Animal, Rising Force, Trilogy, The Seventh Sign, and the Concerto Suite album. Definitely one of my favorites. Among my favorite sections are the acoustic guitar interlude in Legion of The Damned at 2:54, the intro to the guitar solo in Leonardo, the entire songs Asylum and Blitzkrieg. Sky Euphoria is out of this world! Blue provides a smooth, mellow, yet powerful atmosphere to the surrounding songs.

--Oscar, from the Netherlands: Dear Yngwie, Bought your newest CD and I say this RULEZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! keep going with the fine artist work... !!! Thanx for making my life more musical.

-- Alex: I'm an old Malmsteen Brazilian devoted fan. I just received Alchemy. PLEASE say to Yngwie that this is one of his best works ever!!!! He allied blues, classical, heavy metal, guitar with effects, no effects, a lot of harmonic stuff!!!!!!!!! The CD is perfect, all instruments work alot, mainly the keyboard! The bass and drums are also amazing. He has shown some new classical and heavy licks!!! I got no words, besides thanking Yngwie and his crew for this amazing work! Please give him the congratz from the Brazilian fans for me, please. The CD is having alot of repercussion here within the rock scene. Hope to get yngwie here sooooooon.

MARCUS VINICIUS GARRETT CHIADO: Yesterday I got an ENGLISH copy of ALCHEMY. Yngwie is always surprising... He's getting faster and faster, it's unbelievable! Blitzkrieg is f***ing awesome, so powerful. This ultimate album is really heavier, reminds me the early days of Rising Force, you know. The Asylum PIECE is wonderful. The first 2 movements are really great and SKY EUPHORIA is one of the most beautiful things I ever heard!!!!! Yngwie definitely is the GREATEST guitar MAN of all time... Congratulations to HIM... Can't wait to watch him again in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
