Trip to England and Europe,
September 21 - 28, 1999
To promote the European release of Alchemy, Yngwie made a
publicity trip to Europe sponsored by Dream Catcher (formerly Music
for Nations), doing appearances for TV and radio, plus magazine photo
shoots and in-store appearances.

- Sept. 21, 1999 a.m.: Yngwie and his family are in London
today. He's doing interviews and a photo shoot, possibly some
magazine covers. Where to next?
- Sept 21, p.m.: Well, tonight, he's in France. Just got a
call from him in Paris! He says his schedule is really hectic, plus
everyone's jet-lagged except Antonio. He's happy to report that
Dream Catcher is ordering the largest shipment they've ever done for
him. Alchemy is generating huge excitement, and rock seems
to be making a comeback inParis. Yngwie has nonstop interviews
scheduled from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Then they have to run to
catch a plane for.... ?
- Sept. 22: Yngwie and family are now in Stockholm,
arriving around 11 p.m.
- Sept. 23: Looks like this is going to be a really long
day! The record company has scheduled back-to-back interviews and
publicity appearances from 10 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. Schedule includes
Arbetet, a cameo walkon appearance on the "Late Night with Luuk"
show, Metro news daily, Bright Eyes metal magazine, Aftonbladet, GT
daily news, Hallandsposten news, TV 3 live (Foo Fighters on at the
same time). Then at 8:30 p.m.Yngwie will be playing an impromptu gig
in Stockholm at a mid-town club called Encore. He'll be playing
Marcel Jacob and Mats Leven, who play there as a regular gig. The
club only holds about 300 people, so expect a huge crowd outside in
the street!
- Sept. 24: More nonstop interviews and appeances on TV
and radio. Starting at 10:30 a.m., slots are scheduled for GP news
daily, Z-TV, FUZZ magazine, Expressen, SLITZ magazine, Avisa news
daily, Radio K college rock, Chili school magazine, Metal Fortress
fanzine, Victim fanzine, Radio Fury college rock station, P 3 radio
(interview with his old friend Leif Edling).
- Sept. 25: Finally, Yngwie has a day off. He hopes to
show April and Antonio around the city, but we bet he might just
sleep all day instead. Early tomorrow they're back on the plane,
heading for ...?
- Sept 26-27: Today he's in Munich, Germany. Many more
press interviews and TV/radio spots.
- Sept. 28-29: Back in London. Yngwie has a few more
interviews and press events to take care of, then he and his family
will return home to the USA.
